Keep your eyes on the slide, not the tally.
CliniCheck is a digital cell counter for manual WBC differentials and reticulocyte counts. Build your own counting grid, feel every count through sound and haptics, and save each session with notes.
Free for iPhone and iPad. Requires iOS 18 or later.
“Great app! Very useful in the lab.”
Jaro, App Store review

Everything a manual count needs, nothing it doesn’t.
Replace the mechanical clicker and the paper tally sheet with one workspace that fits how your lab actually works.
WBC counter
Design a counting panel around your own workflow.
- Add custom cell types, with your own images or the built-in clinical library
- Rearrange cells and adjust tile size and spacing for comfort
- Heat Click highlights your highest and lowest counts
- Set a target count and the session finishes itself
- Mark a cell as not countable and it appears as additional in the summary
Reticulocyte counter
Count against a standard 1,000-cell goal.
- Enter your estimated cells per visual field
- CliniCheck works out how many fields you need to review
- Adjust the estimate at any time to match your lab’s protocol
Sessions
Every count is saved in the app, ready to review.
- Attach clinical notes to each session
- Find past cases with filtering tools
- Charts and insights for each session summary
- Trends to follow your counts over time
- Sound and haptic feedback on every count
Set it up once. Count the same way every time.
Your panel, your order, your workflow.

Make the grid yours
Show or hide cell types, drag them into the order you count in, and add custom cells with your own images or the built-in clinical library.
Tile size and spacing are adjustable, so the buttons feel right under your thumb.

One home for every session
Start a WBC differential or a reticulocyte count from the home screen, and see your counts add up over time.
Every session is saved with its notes, so you can come back to a past case when you need it.
